Student Civic Leadership Awards
The Student Civic Leadership Awards recognize outstanding student leaders at Washington Campus Coalition member campuses for their work in civic engagement and social entrepreneurship.
Eligible Students
All students enrolled in Washington Campus Coalition’s member institutions -- which includes Western Washington University, are eligible, so long as they are doing civic engagement work or social entrepreneurship. Both graduate and undergraduate students may be nominated.
President’s Student Civic Leadership Awards
Western Washington University, along with the other Campus Coalition member campuses, will select up to two students to receive this recognition.
Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Awards
Winners from each member campus (including WWU) will be advanced for consideration for the State-wide/Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Award. One student from each institution type will be selected to receive the State-wide/Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Award.
Financial awards include:
- $500 stipend to each runner up for the Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Award
- $1000 stipend to each winner of the Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Award
