Thank You!

Dear WWU faculty and staff,

As we close out this academic year, I want to take a moment to extend my sincere gratitude for your contributions to the WWU community.

Thank you for the inspiration and energy you invest in our students and for making Western a welcoming and inspiring place for so many.  You are not only the glue that binds our campus community, but your collective efforts also create meaningful and often life-changing impacts on our students' lives. 

This year has been marked by many accomplishments, and together we have continued to grow as a learning community.  We have also faced difficult issues this year, and it has been challenging at times to navigate a path that brings everyone together during those times.  We have important work to do in continuing to build an institutional culture centered on compassion, well-being, and belonging for all members of our community.

I hope each of you can take time during the summer to rest and recharge.  Thank you once again for your hard work, dedication, and contributions to Western.  It is an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary community.
